In Memoriam — Jim Bragg, 2023

After some months of concern we are sad to announce that we have received confirmation of the death of our oldest member and friend, Jim Bragg.

Jim came to the very first gathering of our little group, way back in May of 2018, and soon became a regular fixture at our monthly events.  He was usually among the first to RSVP when a new event was announced, and it never failed to brighten our day to know that Jim was going to be there again.  And in the times when we organizers struggled to keep going, it was often thoughts of Jim that propelled us forward, helping us to remember what it’s all for.

Always ready with a smile, laughter, and conversation over drinks, Jim embodied the spirit of Social Boardgaming. And as a testament to his beloved character, shouts of “Jim!” could always be heard from the organizers welcoming him into an event, like he was the star of the show. He touched each of our lives in different ways and we will be forever grateful for the privilege of having known him.
